Attached find some pictures of our graduation which took place last Saturday. We praise God for His goodness that it was a successful day. The rains held off and over 300 people came to celebrate with us. Our special guest was the Secretary of State in his function of godfather to our 23 graduates. We pray that he will speak favorably about SEED so that we may get our recognition from the ministry of agriculture. Since over 10 years we are waiting for this! The Representative of the government from Cayes was also there and promised us to take a letter to the president. Please, pray with us that we will find favor in his eyes.
Also pray for our graduates that they will be able to find jobs. Thankfully several found work already but it gets increasingly more difficult since some big NGO’s closed down due to financial problems. This complicates the economical situation even more since many people had found good employment from these organizations.
Since Tuesday, Frantz and his team are visiting our 20 interns to evaluate them. They also are meeting with the involved farmers to see how our program is being received. They will be done by next Friday. Since last night we have a team of 8 from the US working alongside with us. They are also staying at our guesthouse there. We are looking forward to a good time of work, sharing, and encouraging one another.
We thank you so much for your prayers and your encouragement. You mean a lot to us and we ask God’s special blessings on you.
Have a blessed Sunday!
In His Service,
Doris with family and the SEED staff
